I'm a firm believer in donating unwanted or ill-fitting clothes to charity (along with anything else that's still usable and in good condition), but some clothes are too stained or have holes or some other problem that makes them not suitable for donating. I used to throw clothes like these away, but recently I've started recycling them, too, by using them as cleaning cloths. My husband's old undershirts are perfect for dusting and general household cleaning -- they aren't too bulky and hold up well. Hmmm, now that I think about it, I should try cutting them up and using them instead of sponges to wash pots and pans!
